Surrey and Berkshire

I am passionate about evidence based psychological therapies including CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, and ACT. I specialise in working individually with adults and adolescents (15+), tailoring treatment to meet the goals and needs of each individual.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR is a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic memories. By guiding clients through specific eye movements while recalling distressing events, EMDR aims to reduce the emotional charge associated with those memories. This innovative therapy is most commonly recognized for its effectiveness in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but it can also help with a range of mental health conditions. Through EMDR, clients often find a pathway to improved emotional well-being and resilience. EMDR is an evidence based treatment recognised by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).
CBT Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
CBT therapy focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It is based on the idea that our thoughts, feeling, sensations, and actions are interconnected. By understanding these connections we can develop clear conceptualisation of a persons difficulties and identify strategies to help them improve. Although CBT aims to improve overall mental health and well-being, and can help with a range of mental health conditions, it is most often used to help people with Depression and Anxiety. CBT is an evidence based treatment recognised by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).
